Unattended card readers in Ireland
An unattended reader lives or dies on the parts nobody photographs: the controller protocol, the enclosure, the power and the signal. This page sets out how a deployment is assessed.
Controller compatibility
The reader has to speak the protocol your machine controller uses. This is established at assessment, not after delivery.
Certification
Unattended terminals are certified for unattended use. The model proposed for your estate is named in the proposal.
Enclosure and environment
Mounting, ingress protection, temperature range and vandal exposure are validated per site, particularly for outdoor locations.
Connectivity
A survey establishes whether the site runs on fixed line, Wi-Fi or mobile data, and what happens to the machine when the link drops.
Monitoring and field support
Endpoints report status to Nova Hub, and spares, replacements and engineer attendance are set out in the service arrangement in your contract.
