Restaurant payment terminal integration

An integrated terminal takes the amount from the till instead of a staff member keying it. This page explains what that changes in a restaurant and what to check before committing.

Amount push

The till sends the bill total to the terminal. Keying errors disappear, and each card transaction carries the order reference into reporting.

Open bills and pay at table

Where the till platform supports it, servers can pull an open bill to the terminal at the table, take payment and close the order without returning to a station.

Tips and splits

Tip prompts and split payments run on the terminal and are written back to the order, so the tip report and the card report agree.

Reconciliation

At close, card totals per terminal and per server can be compared against the till, so variances are found the same night.

Before you commit

Confirm your exact till platform and version, the integration method, who supports each side, and whether pay at table is available on that platform. We confirm this in writing before quoting.

Bring your statements and current setup and we will model the cost and the options against them.
