Terminal settlement and reconciliation

Most reconciliation pain comes from the gap between what the till says, what the terminal batched and what lands in the bank. This page explains where the differences come from.

Batch to settlement

Terminals batch their transactions, the batch is submitted for settlement, and funds are credited to your bank account under the timetable in your contract.

Gross versus net

Some arrangements credit gross takings and bill fees separately; others deduct fees before credit. Which one applies changes how your bank line matches your takings report.

Refunds and chargebacks

Refunds and chargebacks post on their own dates, which is a common reason a day's bank credit does not match that day's sales.

Matching in Nova Hub

Nova Hub holds transaction-level detail per terminal, site and user, so a bank credit can be traced back to the batch and transactions behind it.
